Bible Studies & Classes

Do you feel like you need to make some changes in your life? Often times, if we change our thinking we can begin to change our behavior. However, we have discovered that if you try to make those changes alone it doesn't always work. At Hope Fellowship our Bible Studies and Classes are a little different than just traditional classes. While they are designed to help you learn, they also are designed to help you find others to help you along the journey and thus make some real changes in your life.

Three times a year Hope offers studies for women, men, singles, young adults and other areas of interest. The course catalog below is available for you to read and sign up for what fits best for you.

  • Corinthians

There was so much going on in the Church in Corinth. It was a large, international metropolis, filled with people with different backgrounds and customs - a lot like Frisco. Paul's vision for the church then (and now): don't retreat or fall back, live the right way. Paul's instructions: live out your faith and commitment to Christ in the midst of nonbelievers. Every week will be exciting and challenging, enabling us to be the men God has called us to be.

This Men's Bible Study is a great place for YOU to be.

  • Galatians

In this 6 week series, Kyle Idleman dives into the book of Galatians, one that contains some of the clearest explanations of the gospel in the New Testament. Through biblical study and engaging lessons, we will discover that true freedom is found in surrender, not self-dependence. Because our gospel is not one based on our works, but faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Join us as we dive into Galatians and find life giving community.

  • 1st, 2nd & 3rd John

Comfortable Christianity often means a weak Christianity. In this 7 week study on John’s three letters, Dr. Tony Evans challenges Christians who have grown comfortable and complacent in their faith. Fellowship with God is the essence of our faith, and we will explore John 1, 2 & 3 to paint a picture of love, obedience, and truth. In a world that hates Jesus, we are called to love Him and His people with a fierce love. Join us as we dive into Bible study and fellowship together.

  • Psalm 119

Even the most mature believers face dark nights of the soul. During those times, God feels distant, His Word dry, and the vibrant intimacy we knew before seems absent leaving us wondering, “Where is the Lord in this?” In Psalm 119, Matt Chandler aims to introduce viewers to the words of King David who experienced similar seasons of life. Serving as the anchor for the study, Psalm 119 demonstrates the power of God’s Word in the lives of believers and its ability to provide a warm blanket for the soul.

  • Finding I Am

What is the deep cry of your heart? That ache in your soul that keeps you up at night? The prayer you keep repeating? • Discerning the Voice of God

Do you feel that the ability to hear God's voice is for other people and not for you? Is it only for people who lived in Biblical times? In this 7 week study, we will strive to become acquainted with the Voice that has spoken from a fire and a cloud, with visible signs and an invisible Spirit, through a burning bush and burning hearts. Hear from some of the most well known Christians in history about how God speaks to them, and discover for yourself how you can discern the voice of God. Priscilla Shirer's Discerning the Voice of God Bible Study will help you explore a relationship with God that will make hearing him an ongoing experience. Book is included in the cost of the class.

  • Parenting

The greatest challenge for parents is learning to remain powerful in any situation. This skill lowers anxiety and allows parents to stay focused on what must be their chief objective: teaching their children to control themselves, while showing them how much they are loved. Our parenting resources are aimed at helping parents shift from the impossible mission of controlling their children to learning to control themselves no matter what their children decide to do. Our relationship with our Father gives us a perfect example and template for how to lead our children in love, freedom, and power.
