Bible Studies & Classes

Do you feel like you need to make some changes in your life? Often times, if we change our thinking we can begin to change our behavior. However, we have discovered that if you try to make those changes alone it doesn't always work. At Hope Fellowship our Bible Studies and Classes are a little different than just traditional classes. While they are designed to help you learn, they also are designed to help you find others to help you along the journey and thus make some real changes in your life.

Three times a year Hope offers studies for women, men, singles, young adults and other areas of interest. The course catalog below is available for you to read and sign up for what fits best for you.

All Church Bible Study

  • Stories

Stories. They connect us. They inspire us and spark feelings within us. Stories make complicated things simple and reveal a bigger picture of life. In this all-church study, we will see how stories in the Bible relate to our stories today.

Join us for four weeks this summer as Hope staff members share their own stories of confusion, celebration, and how God has written new chapters in their stories.

Whatever stage of life you are in, there is room at the table to tell your story!

Men's Bible Study

  • Corinthians

There was so much going on in the Church in Corinth. It was a large, international metropolis, filled with people with different backgrounds and customs - a lot like Frisco. Paul's vision for the church then (and now): don't retreat or fall back, live the right way. Paul's instructions: live out your faith and commitment to Christ in the midst of nonbelievers. Every week will be exciting and challenging, enabling us to be the men God has called us to be.

This Men's Bible Study is a great place for YOU to be.

Women's Bible Study

  • If You Only Knew

Join other women at Hope for a book study this summer! In Jamie Ivey's book "If You Only Knew" where she shares moments in her past that she is not proud...we all have those right? What if those around us really knew all our messy parts that we hope would be forgotten and have worked hard to conceal? In Jamie's book she shares how exhausting it can be to guard our stories and struggles, she realizes this was unintentionally blocking God's grace from being at the forefront of her life. Our journey to freedom can really start when we quit running from our mess and start trusting Jesus to make something beautiful of it. Join us for this month long book study with other women focusing on community around a table. Book is included in the cost of the class.

  • Single & Parenting

In this six week book study, Soul Keeping by John Ortberg shows that caring for your soul is necessary for your Christian life. John explains what your soul is, why it is important, how to assess your soul’s health, and how to care for it so that we can have a meaningful and beautiful life with God and others. When you nurture your soul your life in this world will come to make sense again; you can find your way back to God from hopelessness, depression, relationship struggles, and a lack of fulfillment. Your soul’s resting place is in God, and John Ortberg wants to take you to that home. Book is included in the cost of the class.

  • Grief Recovery

Grief is a natural, although at times overwhelming, emotional response to loss of a loved one. Your grief is not something to be avoided, but a God-given process to be embraced. It is not our intent to help you finish grieving, that will take a longer time. The goal is to provide a safe environment where you will feel support, give support, learn coping skills and become aware of some tools to help you learn from your grief and mourn in a way that is healthy. We cannot control the fact that our loved one has died, but we can influence how our reaction to this loss and our efforts to mourn this loss effectively will impact our life. This class is an opportunity to process through your loss and develop that new normal. Book is included in the cost of the class.
