Building strong relationships amongst peers and godly adult leaders
Our goal in 4.5 is for kids to cultivate a love for praising God through our new live worship experience and develop their faith through large group teaching and small group discussion. We want our kids to love it so much that parents have to drag their children out!
So what's different about 4.5?
Kids in 4th and 5th grade are no longer required to be checked out of 4.5. Once the adult service is over kids in 4th and 5th grade are free to leave and find their parents. We believe that this helps them cultivate a sense of responsibility and also frees parents to pick up younger siblings. If you as a parent want your child to stay in the 4.5 room just make sure your child knows that and ask them to wait for you there.
Our live worship element helps bridge the gap between the Hope Kids ministry and Student Ministry. We believe that live worship cultivates an atmosphere that helps develop a stronger passion to worship God.
Each week children have the opportunity to pick a Small Group. They can choose the same Small Group each week or they can try a new one. The Small Groups are not gender or age specific. We have an adult Small Group leader that will facilitate discussion and team building in Small Groups. There are games, discussion about God's word and the opportunity to get to know other 4th and 5th graders.
