Who do you plan to invite to Easter services?
READ: Luke 4:14-21 (NLT)
ENGAGE: Jesus’ “mission statement” is found in Luke 4. If you could put the mission statement of your own life into a sentence or two, what would it be?
READ: Matthew 14:13-14 (NLT)
1.Ministry is rarely convenient.
READ: Matthew 14:13-21 (NLT)
ENGAGE: What is your typical response to inconvenience?
ENGAGE: Jesus saw the inconvenience as an opportunity. What are a few ways we can change our mindset to look more like Jesus when ministry looks or feels inconvenient?
2. Ministry opportunity is often hard to discern.
READ: Matthew 14:15 (NLT)
ENGAGE: Name a time in your life that a great ministry opportunity happened in your life that was unexpected, and unplanned.
ENGAGE: What are some ways we can be more aware of when Jesus wants us to be looking for opportunities for him to move and work?
3. Ministry opportunity is often met with reluctance.

ENGAGE: What is the main reason for your reluctance when Jesus asks you to do something?
4. Ministry provision starts with us.
READ: Matthew 14:17 (NLT)
ENGAGE: What talents and gifts do you have that you could be using more often for ministry purposes?
ENGAGE: Are there reasons that you have not been using these things for God’s glory?
5. Ministry provision is multiplied by God.
READ: Matthew 14:18-19 (NLT)
ENGAGE: Ministry opportunities met with compassionate and obedient followers of Jesus always results in enough or even more than enough. How does this statement shift your thinking about what God may be calling you to?
6. Ministry costs are never more than ministry reward.
READ: Matthew 14:20 (NLT)
ENGAGE: What are some of the ways ministry has cost you in the past?
ENGAGE: What rewards have you seen from those opportunities?
ENGAGE: Take the time to write out 4-5 ways God has spoken to you that you can commit to putting into action for the Lord. On the back, write out all of the ways you think you can’t or don’t have what it takes. Spend time in prayer over your card and begin to allow God to use you and embrace the call of ministry, however God is asking you.
Take prayer requests and have a member of the group pray for everyone.
