Let the world know that you have decided to be a follower of Jesus! For someone to be baptized (literally: washed, dunked, or dipped) simply means they're showing the world that they have decided to be a follower of Jesus Christ. If you have made a commitment to follow Christ as your Savior and leader of your life, then Scripture shows that baptism is an important next step for you.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR DECISION TO FOLLOW CHRIST
GOD LOVES YOU
- and has a plan for your life. -
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT)
YOUR SIN CAUSES SEPARATION
- between you and God. -
It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore. Isaiah 59:2 (NLT)
GOD SENT JESUS CHRIST
- to die on the cross. -
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. Romans 5:8 (NLT)
IT’S YOUR CHOICE
- to receive the gift or not. -
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. Romans 10:9-10 (NLT)
WE WANT PEOPLE TO LOVE GOD WITH EVERYTHING THEY HAVE. MARK 12:29-31
Regardless of where you are in with walk of faith, at Hope we strive to create a safe environment for all people to express their love to God. People are welcomed as they are! If you're still in the discovery process, we want you to simply come and experience God's love.
All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals and to prayer. Acts 2:42
The love of Christ is extended through relationship. We feel passionate that you don't just come and sit! We want you to build friendships and connect with others in an environment that allows you to be real and is encouraging.
asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. Ephesians 1:17 (NLT)
Some grow best through community and discussion while others grow through study and reflection. Both are ways that God has uniquely created people to grow. Whatever way you grow best, just grow. If we stop growing we stop living the kind of life that God intended us to live.
NOW YOU BELONG TO HIM ... IN ORDER THAT YOU MIGHT BE USEFUL IN THE SERVICE OF GOD. ROMANS 7:4 (TEV)
It's vital that you get plugged in where God has gifted you and to serve within the church, the community and the world. People matter to God and they matter to us. By serving in one of the many roles at Hope, you'll make a difference in the body of Christ and will build relationships and grow spiritually.
