What is SEU?

Southeastern University is a Christ-centered institution of higher learning, that is committed to equipping the next generation of leaders so that they can go into the world as influential servants in their careers and their communities.

While the campus in Lakeland, Florida, with a thriving community of over 6000 students, is impressive, SEU’s vision to equip partner churches is astounding! Not to mention, a few of Hope Fellowship’s pastoral team members are alumni of the university.

Southeastern University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate, baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees.

How is Hope Fellowship connected to SEU?

Southeastern University is partnering with Hope Fellowship to host an instructional site on the church’s campus. Southeastern University offers excellent college education for an affordable price. With regional accreditation*, Southeastern University is well established and proud to offer students opportunities to discover their divine design, all while having access to federal aid and campus resources.

Additionally, John McKinzie, our Lead Pastor, sits on the Pastoral Advisory Board for the SEU Barnett College of Ministry & Theology.

Why at Hope Fellowship?

The beauty of our partnership with SEU, is that we are able to make ministry training practical, and tailor made to fit our Hope Fellowship culture. All students learning at Hope Fellowship, receive practicum credit for their time invested into our church, and the lessons they are learning with their hands-on ministry training. Below is a overall view of a student’s opportunities at Hope Fellowship:

  • Weekly hands-on experience serving Hope Fellowship’s various ministries and sitting in on their staff meetings.
  • Weekly personal and leadership development through devotional time, teaching, guest speakers, Right Now Media curriculum and Q&A sessions with staff leaders.
  • Unlimited access to staff development tools, including Develop.me, Culture Index and self assessments.
  • Opportunities to attend Hope Fellowship staff meetings, training, and a handful of staff events.
