In the first week of our summer series "The Bible for Regular People," we begin our journey through Acts and discover that Jesus didn’t send His followers out in their own strength. He told them to wait for the Holy Spirit. Acts 1 reminds us that God still empowers everyday people to live with purpose, share their faith, and participate in His mission. The same Spirit who worked through the early church is still at work today. The question isn’t how qualified you are. It’s how willing you are to trust Him.
